8 - 12 April 2019 Plein Air Painting in the Springtime Broads
See the Broads coming alive after it's winter slumber; Escape and be Inspired painting (in the media of your choice) from Monday to Friday in the beautiful, peaceful Broads National Park.
Staying on a bed and breakfast basis at Hall Farm Cottages with views across the water garden to the River Ant, nearby St Benet’s abbey and the River Bure.
Taking supper in local hostelries known for their excellent food (personlly tested of course)
Each day will bring a different inspiration, including painting St Benet’s Abbey, rivers and mills, the sea and dunes and the old buildings of medievial Norwich.
Designed to develop skills on location, increasing your confidence, enjoyment and absorption of detail.
Each day includes demonstrations, tuition and critiques with Linda, if you are an experienced painter who wishes to just come and paint you will be very welcome
Maximum 8 painting places available in total
Start & Finish Times:
Monday meet at Hall Farm for 12 noon lunch (provided), afternoon painting session
Tuesday - Friday 10am - 4pm
(check out of accommodation Friday morning, but have full day painting)
Full Fees: Painter : £780.00 non residential £580.00 (includes evening meal) Non painting Partner: £385.00 sharing non painters room
What’s included in the Fee?
♦ Bed & Breakfast accommodation - 4 continental Breakfasts;
♦ Up to 6 hours tuition each day
♦ Transport to painting locations - so you can arrive car free
NB if non painters wish to use transport they need to pay the painters fee
♦ Pre booked evening meal x 4 at local hostelry
♦ Lunch on first day

About Linda H Matthews:
Small groups and her methods of teaching mean Linda can engage mixed ability groups. She will encourage you to be inspired by your chosen subject, not to copy it.
Working as a full time professional artist and tutor for over 18 years, in the United Kingdom, Linda has relocated to Autignac. For seventeen years she had a studio gallery in Norfolk, Inspired by everything around her, preferring the freedom of painting from life, en plein air in the countryside, her philosophy is "Wherever you look there is inspiration”.
Linda's work is in private & corporate collections worldwide, and has been selected for exhibition at the Designer & Artists Copyright Society in London.
In 2016 one of 90 artists selected to paint at Windsor Castle for Her Majesty the Queen’s 90th birthday, Linda’s painting “Cornets & Bayonets” was awarded second place. In September 2018 her painting “Un Coin Tranquille, Coulobres” was awarded first prize at the inaugural “Artistes dans les Rues” in Coulobres
A qualified tutor, Linda writes for Leisure Painter Magazine & has led courses for Artist & Illustrator Magazine, she is a Professional Associate of the Society of all Artist’s.
As well as her own holidays and workshops, working as an associate tutor for the Field Studies Council for twelve years, Linda teaches on cruise ships and works with other private painting holiday providers. She has appeared in local & national press as well as on Radio & Television.………..
