French Painting Holidays 2020
17 - 23 May; Spring in Occitanie
The days are warm the light is soft, the earth is coming alive with new greens, the evenings are long. Visit small villages mountain views, markets and Mediterranean Ports and take home a whole load of memories to kick start your painting for the summer.
19 -25 July; Beaches ,Rivers & Ports
Boats and water, lazy days painting by l’Herault or l’Orb rivers or the Canal du Midi, we may even venture to the Mediterranean for day of colour and action!!
Lots of evening activities this week you may even fancy painting a nocturne.
19-26 September Intro to painting en plein air.
The crowds have gone, the grapes are picked the wine is fermenting. Painting outside in public can be daunting, come and make the most of the warmer climate and autumn colours. A week designed to build your confidence in beautiful Occitanie.
Autignac is in the area known as "Avant-Mont du centre Hérault" and it really is before the mountains between L’Herault and L’Orb rivers, a village of wineries of the Faugeres region, many chateaux, and pretty corners. Only 30 minutes from the Mediterranean coast, and the city of Beziers, we will also paint in the foot hills of the Massif Central which give this area of Occitanie it’s unique climate.
Painting locations could include stunning Roquebrun on the l’Orb, the flower market and cathedral in Beziers, St Chinian market and Pezenas a town full of artisan studios and brocantes and a trip to paint the boats at the coast and many others.
There is be a large studio space at the house to use in the times we are not out on location if you wish to paint before we go out or into the evening
Each day includes demonstrations, tuition and critiques with Linda,
All abilities welcome
